GoFundMe doesnt want to support my small town bank and it just shows their fundraiser hates supporting the less fortunate of those among us and they also leave us less fortunate individuals talking to an AI chatbot instead of a real person, tldr never use GoFundMe they will just hoard the money you need to survive and never grant it to you unless youre rich and wealthy already

They have no direct number for complaints and I got the run around via messages. I tried every way I could using the prompts they give you and no follow up from company.
I can prove fraud and they monies received weren't spent on what they said they needed it for. Go fund me doesn't want to hear negative things about the platform and no desire to clear complaints up.
The people asking for money were the perpetrators of the premeditated incident and were slandering the other party. We had proof via police report but they still refused to pull it.
Money that was received wasn't used to help them move like it was supposed to be. They defrauded the people who donated and maliciously slandered the actual victims.
Police recommended 2 charges against one of them. Go fund me was unwilling to help or remove false content or protect donators.

Trying to file a refund form but need an URL code
On June 11, 2025 i donated $293.75 to Help Olivia's: Support Pete's Family. I was told that it was to help him pay his rent since his landlord was evicting him from his business.
The business dissolved this past June, but I just recently found out he was in alot more money trouble with not paying his taxes (i have documentation). If I had known how bad the situation was, I never would have made a donation.
Someone told me I had a year to file a refund w/GoFundme for fraudulent reasons, but when I tried it needed a URL code (which I do not have). Can you provide me with one so i can finish filling out my form?

Terrible experience
Dear GoFundMe Support Team,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience with your customer service team.
I have contacted support regarding my fundraiser several times now. Despite my attempts to resolve the matter, I have not received a satisfactory response or resolution.
The communication has been inconsistent and unclear. I have done exactly as asked yet been ignored or unhelped.
This situation is causing significant frustration and concern, especially because the person in need is suffering so badly.
I am respectfully requesting:
1. A clear explanation of the current status of my case.
2. Immediate review by a supervisor or escalation team.
3.
A specific timeline for resolution.
If this matter cannot be resolved promptly, I will consider filing a formal complaint with consumer protection agencies and better business bureau as you are withholding over $100.

They are willingly letting a murderer of an innocent American mother raise 500,000 for an injury that doesnt exist. He says she ran him over when he literally got back up right after shooting her 3 times in the face AND walked 50 meters back to his ICE car.
He does not deserve any of it, and something needs to be done. If it is not I will continue to do everything I can to reach an actual person in power!

GoFundMe team is an utter failure
Don't get involved with this for-profit entity: utterly unresponsive and irresponsible.I organized a campaign for a young mother in Gaza:https://***/create/fundraiser/media/help-nour-provide-for-her-childrenI raised more than $6000 dollars.None of it was ever delivered to the recipient. A complete disaster.
Launched campaign on behalf of a young mother in Gaza who lives in desperate conditions and who is due to deliver a new baby in two weeks.
More than $6000 has been donated, but none has been delivered to recipient. Via email and chat, I have contacted GoFundMe team members every day since January 25 to complain about the hold up.
I am told the issue will be investigated and that someone will get back to me. This has not happened.

Buyer Beware
Thinking i was donating to a cause in helping a store owner pay his rent, i didnt know the full financial burden the owner was in (unpaid rent/unpaid taxes/lawsuits). If i did, i would never gave made the donation.
Gofundme said since the donation went thru, i am unable to get a refund.
So buyer beware everyone. Make sure you know before you donate.

You didn't do anything wrong! People can be weird online, and PissedConsumer is no exception.
Try to let negative comments roll off your back. I have devoted a lot (maybe way too much) time and energy (lodging complaints, contacting IC3.gov, BBB, ranting and raving on every e-commerce complaint site, etc.), over relatively small amounts of money, but evidently some PissedConsumer users are failing to understand that it's the principal — not necessarily the amount lost. You have every right to seek satisfaction regarding this issue. It sucks that GFM isn't responding to or taking your help request(s) seriously.
I'm cringing as I write these words... but have you scrolled through the Reddit sub r/gofundme?
Reddit users are notoriously rude, dismissive, and just plain jerks, but sometimes you will receive thoughtful and helpful advice or, at the very least, commiseration. Speaking of GFM, I recently donated to Kimberly Van Der Beek's GFM, and as of today, I'm seeing there are some fake GFM's set up by opportunistic *** ꐦ(¬`‸´¬)
I did not make the initial comment, but your post is vague and comes across threatening. IF, GFM gets your complaint, there are no details.

Or do you just not like the response? You did not help your cause by being vague and with the harsh tone.
What about it was overly harsh? I laid out exactly what happened in a professional way and what I would like to see happen.
And the next step I would take if there was no movement on this still. I was not nasty, nor did I use abusive language, threaten them, or disrespect them. The money is being withheld, it’s been over a month and there is no other way to reach customer service.
If people are legitimately trying to be helpful by commenting on my post thats one thing but it honestly just seems like trolling and not in good faith. I’ve never done this sort of thing before and I’m just doing the best I can to help the recipient get his money.

Regarding website review sites, some offer an option to escalate your dispute to the offending website's attention (and list your requested solutions). .
Pissed Consumer, Trust Pilot, Site Jabber, Better Business Bureau, etc. Some will make an effort to serve as an intermediary between the "pissed consumer" and the company. Some do not. Your assistance request was concise, well-spoken, and detailed.
You were very clear about your preferred solution. Contacting GoFundMe customer support is likely the best option. If you paid via PayPal or a similar service, even better.
Add your review of GoFundMe to the other website review sites. Good luck.

I wonder how much your time is worth to you? Either you have nothing else going on or your time is near worthless.
No one with anything going on would waste this much time for $96.80 (after they take out their fees).
Add in the time to contact the worthless BBB and a gutted federal agency, your time must be worth about $5.00 per hour. That's kind of sad.
